Our people make the difference

Edward Kornbluh - DDS

Dr. Ed Kornbluh has been a part of our practice for more than 50 years and continues to bring his top notch experience and expertise to patient care. He graduated from the NYU College of Dentistry in 1948, and after working both an internship and staff position at Montefiore Hospital, volunteered for service in the U.S. Navy. He served as a dental officer and anesthesiologist, both at sea and while attached to the 8th Marine division.

Edward Kornbluh DDS

In 1954, he joined Professor Harold Kane Addelston in practice at 424 Madison Avenue in Manhattan and began a teaching career spanning more than 25 years at the NYU College of Dentistry. During those years, he taught dentistry for children and helped initiate a program at University Hospital that provided dental services under general anesthesia for handicapped people of all ages. Dr. Kornbluh also served as Chief of Dental Services at the Polyclinic Hospital. Since the closing of the Polyclinic and his retiring from NYU as an associate professor, he has continued his professional practice at the same address and with the same enthusiasm as when he arrived there in 1954.

Dr. Kornbluh, who was an elected delegate to two national conventions and happily describes himself as a liberal Democrat, regularly plays golf and tennis at fluctuating levels of skill and shares a wonderful life with Terry, his perfect partner of 54 years. They have three sons, two daughters-in-law, and three grandsons.
